The Original Inca Trail Marathon to Machu Picchu. Three mountain passes and the finish at the legendary "Lost city of the Incas" - Machu Picchu! We organized the first Inca Trail Marathon in 1996. Benefit from our 22 years of Inca Trail experience. The Andes Adventures June 2018 Original Inca Trail Marathon, will be the 23rd Year Anniversary and the 41st running event that we have organized on the Inca Trail. Our first Inca Trail Marathon to Machu Picchu was offered in 1996. We pioneered Running events in South America. The cumulative elevation gain is conservatively calculated to be over 10,400', and the elevation loss over 11,000'. Only Andes Adventures Original Inca Trail Marathon offers this unique course. Note: There is NO "official" Inca Trail Marathon. There cannot be because the Inca Trail is in a National Park. NO ONE has any grounds to call their event official. Any claims of been an official event IS NOT TRUE. Important note if you are considering the Inca Trail Marathon 26.2, Inca Trail Classic 30K or Inca Trail Running Adventure in 2018: Regulations limit the number of people on the Inca Trail. Inca Trail permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are non-transferable. Important: To ensure your spot you need to reserve at least 6 - 7 months in advance. For any of the June 2017 events, we recommend that you register in early-December 2016 at the VERY latest. (We suggest that you reserve earlier than that). For any of the August 2017 events, we recommend that you register in December 2016 to be on the safe side. After that time we will accept more participants subject to availability of Inca Trail permits and spaces on the trip. Inca Trail permits can sell out earlier! Reserve in advance! Several options for all abilities including hiking options on the Inca Trail for non-runners. If you are looking for the finest adventure on the Inca Trail Marathon and your Peru trip - Andes Adventures is the One and Only event to consider.
