The Firewater 100 Mile, 100K, and 50K ultramarathons take place on the East Lakeshore Trail, on the east coast of the Tellico Reservoir. Firewater was the first event to utilize this trail system end-to-end. We have The Watershed Association of the Tellico Reservoir (WATeR) to thank for these wonderful, well-maintained, and very runnable trails.

For 2017 all three courses will start and end at the southern terminus of the trail, at the Wildcat Point Trailhead.

The 50K course will run to the Coytee Trailhead, across the bridge, then turn around and come back. At that point, you 50Kers are done -- and you'll love the custom finishers medal!

The 100K course goes all the way north to the Canal Branch Trailhead, turns around and returns all the way back to Wildcat Point, then we gotta' figure out how to add a few extra miles to get you all the way to 100K.

100 mile runners (you gluttons for punishment!) go all the way north to Canal Branch, all the way south back to Wildcat Point, return north to the end of the Baker Hollow Branch parking area, then return to Wildcat Point for your hard-earned (and you will find, useful!) buckle.
