First Look: Arc’teryx Atom SL Vest
This vest was the perfect layer that never got too hot, no matter the output
Arc’Teryx Atom SL Vest
Material: Shell: 100% nylon / Insulation: 100% polyester
This vest is a breathing machine! On those brisk mornings or chilly headlamp evening runs, this is a great, slightly heavier, layer to have at the ready. The fit is true to size and the women’s cut is form fitting. The comfortable design also sports zipper pockets that are situated higher up, so they are out of the way of backpack waist straps and running belts.
The vest is composed of a breathable, weather-resistant shell and light insulation, which provides enough warmth and protection without sacrificing the ability to stay cool and dry on the run, striking the Goldilocks of not too hot and not too cold. Since the insulation is synthetic and quick drying, it does not retain sweat, and can be thrown in the wash without worry.
This vest may be best suited for longer run/hikes, as the fit was slightly restrictive.
