This is the best trail race I have ever been a part of. It has something for everyone: from 5k to 100 miles. And Randy Step the race director is a riot in his ’70’s persona.

My friends all love the Pemberton Trail 50k/25k! February in Arizona is the place to be. 🙂

I highly recommend coming to Wisconsin for one of the locally organized races like the Ice Age 50, Glacial Trail 50, or the Kettle Moraine 100. They’re impressively organized, have amazing volunteers and the profits from these events go right back to the local running community.

Ditto on that Jaime. I am
quite fond of the Glacial 50 as it was my first finish. Low key, low cost, and great volunteers with warm chili and cold beer at the finish!

Why include races like Western States and Hardrock that A) everyone already knows about and B) no one can get into?

Probably because by definition, any “bucket list” would have to include those races in order to be valid…

Sad trail running has come to a “bucket list” Just run and enjoy anything and everything.

Marlette 50k in Tahoe is an amazing 50k and preps you nicely for a 100k and tests your training and is at elevation and is well ran and marked great and is a beautiful 50k, maybe one of the most beautiful in CA and possibly the globe.
