A veteran of the Iraq War, Will Robinson finds sanctuary on the trails.

Will Robinson returned home to Louisiana from Iraq with PTSD and a loss of his sense of self. He found inspiration to get out on the trail and kept going and going until eventually completing the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails.
Robinson now tries to worry about little else, beyond where the next water source is and what direction he’s going.
This is beautiful, I love the line about “finding reality” out on the trail. When I talk about my running people often say, “Oh, it must be a great escape for you”. Running trails is not my escape though, it is my arrival. My arrival to the reality of which you speak. Thank you Akuna!
I was so impressed with Akuna. You, Akuna are a Warrior and a Hero! Thank you so very much for your service to our beautiful and great country. I could feel your passion and your devotion to trails. I am a veteran of the VietNam War. Although physical injuries were to a minimum, I too have PTSD and have had many struggles through way too many years of my life.
